Roy E. Matson, 86 years of age of Streetsboro, passed away Sunday February 21, 2010 at Kensington Care Center in Aurora. Mr. Matson was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 7, 1923. A resident of Streetsboro the past 14 years, he formerly resided in Northfield Center and Garfield Hts., Ohio.  He was a production control supervisor at Lucas Aerospace in Cleveland from where he retired.  Mr. Matson was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro, had been an auctioneer for the Kent Coin Club and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. On March 16, 1946 he married Felicia (Chyzynski) Matson who survives at their home. Also surviving are his sons Wayne E. of Salt Lake City, Utah and Gary P. of Mantua. No calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday March 6, 2010 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Pat Ferraro officiating. Mr. Matson is being laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
