Garrettsville - Clifford E. Steele 84 years of age of Garrettsville passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.  Mr. Steele was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on July 26,1924 the son of the late Slater B.and Burnsie (Day) Steele.  A resident of the Garrettsville area the past 45 years, he was employed at Consolidated Freightways for 18 years as a truck driver from where he retired. He was a U.S.Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Steele loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers, On July 26, 1963 he married Olive M. (Hassan) Steele who survives at their home.  Also surviving are his daughters, Nancy Steele and Sharlyn (Perry) Ochsenbine both of Garrettsville; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Privett  in 2008.  No calling hours or services will be held, Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with military honors.  Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home &Crematory Service in Mantua.
